Planning a Blue Icicle Light Display
Blue LED icicle lights create a cool hanging outline for winter-themed venues, seasonal retail displays and event structures. The photograph shows an overhead decorative arrangement; the layout can be used as a visual reference, rather than a dimensional drawing or proof of the exact electrical build. Choose the size and mounting position from your project measurements.
This blue configuration is offered within the OSLENA icicle light series, with fourteen width-and-drop sizes, IP44 protection and a choice of wave or horizontal outline. Voltage, cable and control options must be agreed together before ordering.
Size Selection for an Overhead or Edge Installation
Measure the Structure First
Begin with the usable mounting span, including corners, interruptions and the location of power access. The series includes 3 m, 4 m, 5 m, 6 m and 10 m widths in specific drop configurations. These widths are not available with every drop length. Refer to the product attributes and the corresponding configurations below instead of building an unlisted combination.
A 10 m section may be covered by a listed 10 m configuration if its drop fits the project. Shorter sections can be considered when the structure is divided. Coverage does not determine electrical linking: request the connection limits for the selected build.
Leave Clearance Beneath the Drops
For an overhead arrangement, measure from the fixing line to signs, display structures and occupied areas beneath it. Longer drops create a deeper hanging layer but also need more clearance. Where the installation follows a window or low border, compare the shorter drops with the actual available space.
Wave patterns contain varying hanging sections. Agree on the maximum drop and the measurement method using a reference image or drawing. Do not assume the scene photograph represents any one listed size.
Size and LED Configuration Guide
Each entry below pairs one product size with its LED quantity. Width and drop are shown separately from the lamp count.
| Product Size | LED Quantity |
|---|---|
| 3 × 0.8 m | 128 LEDs |
| 3 × 1 m | 144 LEDs |
| 3 × 1.5 m | 180 LEDs |
| 3 × 2 m | 200 LEDs |
| 3 × 3 m | 304 LEDs |
| 4 × 0.3 m | 72 LEDs |
| 4 × 0.6 m | 120 LEDs |
| 5 × 0.4 m | 96 LEDs |
| 5 × 0.8 m | 168 LEDs |
| 5 × 1 m | 192 LEDs |
| 6 × 0.5 m | 150 LEDs |
| 10 × 0.3 m | 120 LEDs |
| 10 × 0.5 m | 200 LEDs |
| 10 × 0.8 m | 280 LEDs |
A larger total count does not establish higher brightness. The 3 × 3 m set has more LEDs than the 10 × 0.3 m set because their complete configurations differ. Evaluate the requested arrangement and any relevant lighting data together.
Using Blue in Commercial Display Layouts
Winter-Themed Retail Areas
Blue can serve as a defined color accent around a seasonal display. Plan how the hanging outline relates to signs, products and nearby lighting. The product is decorative lighting; no task-lighting performance is specified. Compare a sample with the display background if color coordination is important.
Event Structures and Venue Borders
Where the lights hang above a venue area, decide whether the required outline rises and falls or remains level. Wave and horizontal patterns should be confirmed against the arrangement drawing. Several neighboring sets need consistent fixing positions, while electrical connections require a separate review.
Photography and Existing Lighting
A camera may record the scene differently from the eye. This page does not specify flicker or camera compatibility. If the display will be filmed, assess the selected configuration with the intended camera and other venue lighting before approval.
Electrical, Cable and Control Choices
Choose 24V, 110V or 220–240V for the destination market and site supply. These are separate configurations, not a universal operating range. List required plugs, power accessories and controllers in the RFQ, then confirm the quotation’s scope of supply.
Cable colors are Transparent, White and Black; materials are PVC and Rubber. Choose color against the mounting background and cable route. Temperature and exposure data should be requested where needed rather than inferred from the material name.
Control options are 8 Modes or Steady On. For a constant blue display, specify Steady On. For 8 Modes, request confirmation of the operating behavior. Dimming, remote functions, synchronization and memory are not assumed.
IP44 and Project Exposure
Review the IP44 configuration against the installation environment, including connectors, control equipment and power accessories. Describe whether wind-driven rain, irrigation spray or water accumulation could reach the assembly. A sheltered position alone does not establish suitability for all components. Immersion and unrestricted weather exposure are not approved by this general product description.
Prepare a Configuration-Based Inquiry
Provide the size and corresponding LED count, Blue light color, drop pattern, voltage, cable color and material, control mode and quantity. Add the destination market, mounting dimensions, exposure conditions and accessory requirements. If several builds are needed, give each its own line and quantity.
Questions Before Ordering
Can the scene photograph determine the required set size?
No. Use it to communicate the visual arrangement, then measure your mounting width and available drop. The image does not identify the size, LED count or voltage of the proposed order.
What should a project sample confirm?
Check the drop arrangement, dimensions, blue light appearance, cable finish and agreed control behavior. For filmed installations, include a camera check under the intended conditions.
Are controllers and power accessories included?
Confirm each required item in the quotation. A product option does not automatically establish the supplied accessory list.
